Hawks Continue Skid Thanks to Klein, Beetlecats
|
The Boise Hawks and Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd at Basque Block Field.
The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats defeated the Boise Hawks, 9-3. Earning player of the game honors was second baseman Jeff Klein, who belted 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Boise is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.
Klein delivered in the top of the second inning for Buzzard's Bay. With the game tied and runners on 1st and 2nd, the second baseman hit a 3-run home run to left.
"There are times you get yourself out and there are times you come through," Klein said. "That's how it goes."
