|
The exploits of catcher Jim Kempenaars, who leads the ACL with a .473 on-base percentage, helped the Riverside Red Bulls defeat the Marysville Monarchs, 4-2. Kempenaars went 2-3 with a double and a walk. Riverside is now 44-28, Marysville 40-33.
Kenko Hori contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the third. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It was one at-bat that helped Riverside get the win.
"We've got a great group of guys," Hori said, "and we're having fun right now."
