Newark got an elite performance from starting pitcher Ron Ogden in taking a 4-1 decision over the Frisco Rams. John Freemann earned the save, his 15th, for the Jail Birds. Frisco's current losing streak is now 4 games.
With one out in the top of the sixth, Luis Morales put Newark in front, 2-0, with a run-scoring double. The Jail Birds went on to win the ballgame.
