Cincinnati left-hander Diego Castro was in fine form, shutting out the Long Island Ducks, 1-0. Cincinnati reliever Lenny Tremlett picked up the win, upping his record to 2-5. Kunimichi Suzuki shouldered the loss. This loss makes it 6 in a row for Long Island.

The Snaps got a big boost from first baseman Jim McNutt who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the seventh inning off Ducks hurler Kunimichi Suzuki. It was his 28th walk of the season and put Cincinnati on top, 1-0.

"We're scuffling right now," said losing manager Roger Fievet.
