Wolverines Keep Streak Alive With 11-9 Win
Harry Corbitt did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Sandy Springs Spartans from losing, 11-9, to the Wichita Wolverines at The Coliseum. Corbitt went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Wichita has now reeled off 13 straight wins.

With runners on 1st and 2nd and two out in the top of the fourth inning, right fielder Ernesto Andrade delivered big for the Wolverines. Wichita was leading 4-3 when he belted a 3-run home run.

"We'll enjoy this hot streak as long as it lasts," said Andrade.
