Cornhuskers Stun Predators, 7-6
|
It was pandemonium at The Corn Crib after an exciting walk-off win.
DeKalb beat Topeka at The Corn Crib, eking out a 7-6 win. The win was due in large part to designated hitter Thomaz Quint, who earned player of the game honors. The losses continue to add up for Topeka, which has now fallen 8 times in a row.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With DeKalb trailing 6-5, Quint hit a fastball from César Quintana for a 2-run home run. Just like that, the Cornhuskers had a walk-off win.
"We're in a funk right now," said Topeka skipper Noriyori Shirai.
