The Marysville Monarchs got a strong performance from pitcher David Lidstone, who stymied the Boise offense en route to a 5-2 win at Mitts Fieldhouse. Lidstone went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 3-0. The second-place Monarchs have won 4 in a row.

Marysville grabbed a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the fourth when Sakutaro Okada hit a run-scoring double. For the day, Okada was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play ever better," said Marysville manager Jorge Magana.
