Delcueto, Storm Troopers Fall to Bulldogs
San Antonio second baseman Miguel Delcueto had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Delcueto went 2-3 with 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 5, even as Spokane beat the Storm Troopers, 14-11. Delcueto was named the player of the game despite the loss. Spokane reliever Perry Detrick picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. John Welch absorbed the loss. The Storm Troopers, at 25-41, have lost 4 straight games.

It could have been a different outcome for Spokane, had it not been for Haruhiko Ogawa, the 22-year old catcher . Ogawa contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the ninth inning to put Spokane up, 12-11.
