The Corn Crib was the site of a exceptional pitchers' duel.

The Spokane Bulldogs got a magnificent performance from pitcher António Días, who muffled the DeKalb offense en route to a tight 2-1 Bulldogs win at The Corn Crib. Días went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-4.

Neither team could produce runs. So, Javier Guillén's at-bat in the top of the eighth was critical. With no one out, the Spokane pinch hitter hit a sacrifice fly, to give his team a 2-1 lead.

Afterward, Bulldogs manager Chris Carpenter was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."

The Bulldogs saw their win-loss record go to 30-35. At the same time, the Cornhuskers fell to 31-34.
