Tanaka Helps Mustang Beat Beehive
|
A 5-RBI performance from the 20-year old right fielder Kichisaburo Tanaka helped the Carson City Mustang beat the Madison Beehive, 8-3. Carson City starter Mike Steveson was credited with the win after throwing 95 pitches over 6.1 innings. His record now stands at 7-3. The Mustang, now 37-28, have won 4 in a row.
Carson City right fielder Mike Duren gave his club a productive at-bat in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the bases loaded and the Mustang leading 4-3, Duren drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Carson City manager Nobuharu Chikafuji.
