Not everyone stuck through the 67-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
Dylan Pugsley knocked in all 4 runs for the DeKalb Cornhuskers, helping them beat the Spokane Bulldogs, 4-2. Máximo Ángel was the winner. Over 6 innings, he allowed 1 run on 5 hits, with 4 walks and 6 strikeouts. Gusti Kusuma locked down his 10th save.
Pugsley had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 2-1 fastball from Callum Warner, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Cornhuskers a 4-1 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Pugsley.
After the game, DeKalb manager Eduardo Varerla applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
DeKalb is third in the Bob Moose League Bruce Bochy Division with a record of 31-33.
