Ducks Fall Short at Rock River
The Long Island Ducks wasted an impressive 7.1-inning effort from starter Braden Halladay, falling 2-1 to the Rock River Rats at The Rat Hole. The save was credited to Kevin Crosby, his 12th. Rock River leads the Bob Moose League Bruce Bochy Division by 9½ games.

Arturo Trinidad had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the eighth. The Rock River pinch hitter came through with a run-scoring single to put Rock River in front, 2-1.

"We were in it," said Long Island manager Roger Fievet. "We just didn't score enough runs."
