Though the conditions were not ideal, the Frisco Rams and Jacksonville Hellcats came back from a rain delay to finish their game.
The Frisco Rams downed the Jacksonville Hellcats, 7-4, at Hellcats Park. The Rams were led by Stanton Miller, who captured player of the game honors. He was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times. The Rams bumped their record to 38-27 with this latest triumph.
Frisco left fielder Luis Ruíz contributed to the cause with a 2-run single in the top of the fifth. For the game, Ruíz was 1-5. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"They played a better game than we did," said Jacksonville skipper Pete Dellow.
