In a tight game between the Jacksonville Jacks and the New York Mafia, pitcher Landy Lu was terrific on the mound. The Jacksonville right-hander was named the player of the game in Jacksonville's 3-1 win. New York is in the throes of a 9-game skid.
Lu was effective for Jacksonville, seldom allowing the Mafia to square up a pitch. The right-hander tossed 119 pitches over 8 innings. He limited New York to just 1 run on 5 hits.
