McNeil Lifts Spartans to 5-1 Triumph
The exploits of third baseman Chuck McNeil, who is tied for 7th in the FFL in triples with 3, helped the Sandy Springs Spartans defeat the New York Ninjas, 5-1. McNeil went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Sandy Springs reliever Drew Coffin was the winner. His record is now 3-1. The losing pitcher was Masaharu Aoki. The Spartans' win now puts them at 28-37.

In the first inning, McNeil had a 2-run home run for Sandy Springs. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Spartans on top, 2-0.
