|
Yoshiaga Adachi never let Boise get something going. The Silicon Valley right-hander commanded his curveball in pitching the Hackers to a 4-1 win. Adachi got the win, improving to 2-6. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Adachi allowed 1 earned run. The Hackers saw their record improve to 28-34.
The Hackers got an important contribution from third baseman Lance Vallery, who in the bottom of the sixth punched a first pitch curveball into center for a run-scoring single. It was his 19th hit of the season and put the Hackers ahead, 2-1.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Adachi.
