Predators Score Late, Upend Snaps, 5-3
|
The Studio was the site of a competitive game between the Cincinnati Snaps and Topeka Predators.
A 3-RBI performance from left fielder Omar McKoy, who is rated as the 40th best prospect by BNN, led the Topeka Predators to a 5-3 win over the Cincinnati Snaps. The win was Tom Cluff's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Lenny Tremlett took the loss for Cincinnati.
Had McKoy not come through in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, McKoy hit a 3-run home run. The Predators never looked back after taking the 5-2 lead.
"It was a solid team effort," said McKoy after the game.
Topeka improves to 40-21 with the win. They lead their division by 7 games.
