Heath Fires Shutout in Cabo San Lucas Win
|
Vancouver dropped a 2-0 shutout to Ashley Heath and the Cabo San Lucas Toreros at Field de Los Layendas today. The Pioneers offered little resistance to Heath, who stopped them on 4 hits, fanned 7 and walked 1.
"It just felt right today," the right-handed Heath told reporters after the win. "Even with the rain, it didn't throw me off my rhythm."
So far this season, Heath has a 4-2 won-lost record with no saves. He has made no relief appearances, logged 53.2 innings and fanned 35 batters while fashioning a 3.69 ERA and allowing the opposition a .274 batting average.
