Pierce Helps Wolverines Beat Beehive
The Wichita Wolverines cruised to a 12-4 win over the Madison Beehive at The Hive today. Willis Pierce led the way, going 3-for-4 for Wichita. Wichita starter Luis Hernández was credited with the win after throwing 97 pitches over 6.2 innings. His record now stands at 4-1. The losses continue to pile up for Madison, which has now fallen 9 times in a row.

Gabriel García, who is tied for 3rd in the FFL in triples with 4, helped out the Wichita cause in the top of the third inning with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. For the game, the center fielder went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We bring energy to every game," said losing manager Quinn Patrick. "But it's got to translate into wins."
