Riverside pitcher Iván Cabrera gave the Tune-Ups all they could handle, but in the end, Youngstown left Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum with a 4-3 win. Cabrera allowed 1 earned run on 4 hits over 5.2 innings. The winner was Youngstown reliever Yu-xing Law, now 1-0. The loser was Joe Mason. Koshiro Ohayashi notched his 20th save in 22 chances.
Youngstown took the lead in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, Micah Lee stroked a run-scoring single to make it 4-3, Tune-Ups.
"I was a little disappointed," said Riverside manager Tim Duncan. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
Riverside, at 35-24, has lost 4 straight.
