Losing Streak Continues for Beetlecats with 3-0 Loss to Lights
In a well-pitched game between the Phoenix Lights and the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats, pitcher Nicolas Dupuis was fantastic. The Phoenix right-hander was named the player of the game in Phoenix's 3-0 win. Grégoire Maillet, credited with the win, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. This loss makes it 8 in a row for Buzzard's Bay.

Phoenix took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Virgil Ayliffe hit a clutch solo home run to bring Lights fans to their feet.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Buzzard's Bay manager Keith Irwin.
