The Wichita Wolverines and Carson City Mustang completed their game despite the inclement weather.

Wichita starter Hisataka Matsumura kept the Carson City offense in check, while his team rolled to a 12-1 win. Joe Kearns nailed down his 1st save.

Gabriel García was one of the major contributors to the win for Wichita. The light-hitting center fielder stroked a double to left-center in the bottom of the second inning. For the day, he was 2 for 4 with a double, while scoring 2 times.

"They took us to the woodshed," said Carson City manager Nobuharu Chikafuji.

Wichita is 26-28 and Carson City, with the loss, 30-26.
