Wolverines Dump Mustang, 8-3

Getting a good performance from catcher Alan Lehman, the Wichita Wolverines defeated the Carson City Mustang, 8-3. Lehman was 2-3 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Wolverines. Wichita reliever Brodie Juhl picked up the win, upping his record to 3-4. Héctor Navarro was saddled with the loss. The Wolverines are now 25-28, while the Mustang fall to 30-25.
The Wolverines grabbed the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With two out, Emile Sharman hit a 3-run home run off Héctor Navarro, putting Wichita in front, 3-2. For Sharman, it was his 1st home run of the season.
"Winning is not something we take for granted," Lehman said.
