Pitcher Maurice Bignold was sensational for the Carson City Mustang in his team's 5-1 triumph over the Cincinnati Snaps. Bignold received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. The Mustang move to 30-24 with the win, while the Snaps drop to 24-31.

Flexing his muscles for Carson City was Mike Duren. The right fielder had a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first for the Mustang. It put his team ahead, 2-0, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Duren was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Bignold told the Carson City Daily News.
