|
Youngstown overcame a superlative game from Kang-il Hyong to beat Rock River, 6-3. The Rock River pitcher took player of the game honors in a losing cause. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. Dalijit Tagore, who went 5.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 5 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 4. His record now stands at 2-5. Koshiro Ohayashi finished the game for Youngstown and earned his 16th save.
With a runner on 1st and two out in the bottom of the eighth inning, right fielder William Banks delivered big for the Tune-Ups. Youngstown was leading 4-3 when he belted a 2-run home run.
