Georgia starter Orlando Días pitched effectively against the Eureka Hornets at The Nest. The right-hander led his team to a 5-3 win. Georgia reliever Orlando Días was credited with the win, to go to 2-0. Jorge Salazar took the loss for Eureka. Even with the win, the Grays have a dismal 14-26 record.
Raúl Fernández aided the Georgia cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the third. For the game, the second baseman drove in one run.
"I still have a lot of confidence in this team," Georgia manager Davey Morris said afterward.
