Fans who congregated at Bloomfield Road were treated to extra-inning drama.

The Sandy Springs Spartans downed the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats, 6-4, in 10 innings. Douglas Dill led the way, going 3-for-5 for Sandy Springs. Tom Polk closed the door for Sandy Springs, picking up his 8th save of the year.

Dill had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 0-1 cutter from Mike Salter, he banged a solo home run to left-center, giving the Spartans a 5-4 lead. It was the 11th home run of the year for Dill.

"I like our resilience," said Dill.

Sandy Springs now sits in 4th place in the Bob Moose League Bruce Bochy Division at 23-26.
