Silicon Valley left fielder Francisco Fernández had a 4-RBI game, which helped his team beat the DeKalb Cornhuskers, 7-1. Walker Hoekstra got the win, improving to 2-6. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 2 hits and no runs, while striking out 4 and walking 3. Mike Horswill earned the save for Silicon Valley, his 1st.

The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth when Fernández hit a 2-run home run. It propelled the Hackers into the lead, 2-0.

"It makes it a little nicer in the clubhouse when we win," said Fernández. "It eases the tension."
