Mustang Need Extra Frames to Get Past Shamrocks
Carson City starter Maurice Bignold pitched effectively against the Pacifica Shamrocks at McCormick Field. The left-hander led his team to a 5-2 win. The Mustang saw their win-loss record go to 27-22. At the same time, the Shamrocks fell to 29-20.

The most critical at-bat came in the top of the tenth inning. With no one out, Pedro Moreno hit a first pitch fastball from Tony Torres for a 3-run home run. It put Carson City in front, 5-2.

"We're all smiles after that win," Moreno told the Carson City Daily News.
