It was a fun time at Bloomfield Road, where the Sandy Springs Spartans and Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats tangled.

The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats got a stellar performance from pitcher Robert Escobedo, who handcuffed the Sandy Springs offense en route to a 9-1 win at Bloomfield Road. Buzzard's Bay is now 24-23. Sandy Springs is 21-26.

Fomio Onishi, who is tied for 6th in the ACL with a .512 slugging percentage, aided the Buzzard's Bay cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first. For the game, the catcher was 1-3 with a double and a walk.

"You come to the ballpark to do your job and that's what I did today," Onishi told the Buzzard's Bay Citizen.
