The Carson City Mustang topped the Phoenix Lights, 6-3, with catcher Ernesto Santiago playing a big role. Santiago went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Mustang in the win. Carson City is now 26-22, Phoenix 26-24.
The Mustang got a big at-bat from second baseman Ramón Dolit. For the game, Dolit was 1-3 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 2nd triple of the season gave Carson City a 4-2 lead.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Dolit.
