Storm Troopers Beat Rams, 8-4
|
The inspired effort of Frisco left fielder Luis Ruíz was not enough to prevent a 8-4 loss to the San Antonio Storm Troopers. Ruíz was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. Tagashashi Ueda picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-2. He struck out 3 in 5.2 innings. Picking up the save was John Welch, his 14th.
Sumiteru Nakagawa went 1-3 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for San Antonio. With no one out and the game tied in the bottom of the second inning, Nakagawa had a clutch at-bat. Facing Frisco hurler Bobby Mannix, he hit a 2-run double to give the Storm Troopers a 2-0 lead.
"I think we all put in a good day's work," said Nakagawa.
San Antonio bumps their record to 21-25 with the win.
