Late Rally by Cornhuskers Secures Win
In a tight contest at The Corn Crib, the DeKalb Cornhuskers edged the Youngstown Tune-Ups by the score of 7-6. DeKalb center fielder Eric Farlin, who blasted 1 home run, was named the player of the game. DeKalb reliever Brian Lapointe was the winner. His record is now 4-1. Sachi Kakuta took the loss. At 24-24, DeKalb is in second place in the Bob Moose League Bruce Bochy Division.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the ninth, until Farlin delivered big-time for DeKalb, stroking a dramatic solo home run off Sachi Kakuta. The game-changing hit put the Cornhuskers on top, 7-6.

"This place sure got loud," said Eduardo Varerla, the DeKalb manager.
