Late Rally by Marauders Secures Win
|
Maple and Bloomington took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
Maple Marauders starter Paul Barrett was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Bloomington Blazers, 5-3. Marcos León nailed down his 8th save.
Angel Barajas contributed an important at-bat in the top of the eighth. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring single. It was one at-bat that helped send Maple to the win.
"Paul was Paul," said Marauders manager Jesús Alfaro. "We know what we'll get whenever he takes the mound."
Maple has an impressive 26-11 record.
