Rock River used a superb performance from starting pitcher José Mendoza to down the Atlantic City Enforcers, 5-1. The Rats improved to a lofty 33-12.
Mendoza made it look effortless. He scattered 2 hits over 6.1 innings, while racking up 11 strikeouts. The Rock River right-hander encountered little resistance from the Atlantic City hitters. His season record is now 6-1.
"José had electric stuff," said Rock River manager Hervé Barthélémy.
