Topeka Hot Streak Continues with 5-3 Win
|
The Topeka Predators grabbed a 5-3 win over the Carson City Mustang at The Field at Richmond. Topeka catcher David Pierce went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 to earn player of the game honors. The winning continues for Topeka, with the latest making it 8 straight.
In a game filled with surprises, perhaps none was as big as Pierce's contribution. The Topeka catcher is a relative newcomer. With one out in the bottom of the eighth, when the Predators had a runner on 1st, Pierce delivered a crucial 2-run home run.
