Tune-Ups Lose, 4-1, at Hellcats Park
|
Hellcats first baseman Tong-sik An put his stamp on his team's 4-1 win over the Youngstown Tune-Ups. An went 2-2 with 2 singles and 2 walks for Jacksonville in the contest. The winner was Jacksonville reliever Len Adkins, now 1-0. The loser was Bruce Easton. Roberto Mejía, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 3rd save.
Bill Petipas contributed an important at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a double. It was one at-bat that helped send Jacksonville to the win.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Petipas.
The Hellcats now have a record of 18-29 with the win over Youngstown.
