Nakagawa Delivers Clutch At-Bat for San Antonio in Walk-Off Win
|
The San Antonio Storm Troopers beat the Madison Beehive, 6-5 at The Clone Army, in part due to left fielder Ron Wheaton, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. San Antonio is now 19-22.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With San Antonio trailing 5-4, Sumiteru Nakagawa hit a slider from John Haines to right for a 2-run double. Just like that, the Storm Troopers had a walk-off win.
"This joint was rocking," said Nakagawa.
