The New York Ninjas defeated the Rock River Rats, 9-5, at Confucius Field today. Leading the charge for New York was left fielder Yasujiro Okawa. He was 1-2 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Earning his 1st save for New York was Oliver Pitcher. New York is now 20-22. Rock River is 31-12.

Okawa had a critical at-bat in the bottom of the seventh for New York, coming through with a grand slam home run to put New York in front, 6-2.
