Lights Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Enforcers
|
Phoenix and Atlantic City duked it out at UFO Field and the Lights came out victorious.
The Phoenix Lights powered past the Atlantic City Enforcers, 8-6, at UFO Field. I-tsing Wang was 3-5 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2, to lead the charge. Phoenix reliever Seong-rae An was the winner. His record is now 2-1. The losing pitcher was Taylor MacRuer. Cecilio Friuli earned the save, his 7th, for the Lights.
With Phoenix trailing 6-4 in the bottom of the fifth, Qu-bing Ci hit a run-scoring single off Atlantic City pitcher Wilson Rivas. It put the Lights ahead 6-5.
"It was a nice win for our side today," said Lights manager Michael Barnett. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
The Lights raised their record to 22-22.
