Bulldogs Come Back Late to Clip Cornhuskers
|
The Kennel was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Spokane Bulldogs and the DeKalb Cornhuskers.
The Bulldogs grabbed a win, 4-3, at The Kennel, overcoming a fine effort from DeKalb pitcher Máximo Ángel. Ángel went 5 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Spokane is now 19-21.
Brian White was one of the major contributors to the win for Spokane. The light-hitting shortstop stroked a single to right in the bottom of the sixth inning. For the day, he was 2 for 3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.
"Both teams played hard," said Spokane manager Chris Carpenter.
