The Rock River Rats picked up a win at The Rat Hole, knocking off the Long Island Ducks, 5-3. Starting pitcher José Mendoza was an essential part of his team's success. Kevin Crosby earned the save for Rock River, his 9th of the year. Rock River has an impressive 30-11 record.
Mendoza scattered 3 hits over 7 innings for the Rats. With the win, Mendoza goes to 5-1 on the year with 40 strikeouts.
