The Phoenix Lights topped the Pacifica Shamrocks, 5-1, with right fielder Michael Pickersgill playing a big role. Pickersgill was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Lights in the win. Phoenix reliever Takehide Sato picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jesús Díaz absorbed the loss. The third-place Lights raised their record to 20-21.

Ramiro Ramírez had a productive trip to the plate with one out in the top of the sixth inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double, helping Phoenix to the win.

"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Pickersgill told the Phoenix Chronicle.
