Enforcers Curb Monarchs, 6-4
|
Fans who gathered at Parliament Field saw a good contest between the Atlantic City Enforcers and Marysville Monarchs.
The Atlantic City Enforcers beat the Marysville Monarchs, 6-4, at Parliament Field. Atlantic City first baseman Jeremy Bassett earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. Atlantic City reliever Chris Burgess got the win, raising his record to 2-1. Luis Rodríguez was tagged with the loss. Kyuso Kimura picked up the save, his 3rd.
One significant at-bat for Atlantic City came with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the seventh. Enforcers designated hitter John Dyck hit a run-scoring single, which helped Atlantic City go on to win.
Dyck told a Atlantic City Today reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
The Enforcers improve their record to 17-21 with the win over Marysville.
