The Rock River Rats wasted an impressive 7.1-inning effort from starter Adam Lewis, falling 2-0 to the Sandy Springs Spartans at The Rat Hole. At 14-21, Sandy Springs is in last place in the Bob Moose League Bruce Bochy Division.

Runs were few and far between in this one. So, Todd Poliskin's at-bat with two out in the top of the eighth was crucial. The Sandy Springs third baseman hit a 2-run single, to give his team a 2-0 lead.
