Sasquatch Score Late to Upend Republic, 2-1
|
The Seattle Sasquatch got a magnificent performance from pitcher Garth Daniels, who muffled the So Cal offense en route to a tight 2-1 Sasquatch win at Sick's Stadium. Daniels, now 4-1, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 3, walking 0, and allowing 1 earned run. The Sasquatch now have a record of 14-25 with the win over So Cal.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when center fielder Robby Sanchez, who is rated as the 47th best prospect by BNN, hit a double. The Sasquatch went on to win.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Sanchez.
