Getting an impressive start from Hajime Ota, Boise beat Frisco by the score of 4-1. Ota, the winner, moves to 2-1. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 1 walk. James Woodard was called on to finish, recording his 9th save.
Mario Montoya was a prime contributor to the Boise win. He was 2-4 with a double. In the bottom of the fifth with two out, the 24-year old shortstop hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 3-1, in favor of the Hawks.
