Rock River Rats starter Kang-il Hyong turned in an exceptional performance against the Sandy Springs Spartans at The Rat Hole, resulting in a Rock River win, 7-2. The Rats have an impressive 27-10 record.

The Rats got an important contribution from left fielder Lee Brooks, who in the bottom of the second knocked a 1-1 slider into center for a run-scoring single. It was his 47th hit of the season and put the Rats ahead, 2-0.

"We've got a great group of guys," Brooks said, "and we're having fun right now."
