Snaps Win at Topeka, 7-5
|
The Topeka Predators and Cincinnati Snaps brought some excitement to The Field at Richmond.
Cincinnati third baseman Wang Huang played a vital role in his team's 7-5 triumph over Topeka. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for Cincinnati. The winner was Diego Castro, who threw 95 pitches over 6.1 innings. The left-hander was charged with 2 runs on 3 hits.
The Snaps got a big at-bat from first baseman Jim McNutt. For the game, McNutt was 2-5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 36th hit of the season gave Cincinnati a 3-2 lead.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Huang.
The win puts the Snaps at 16-22, while the Predators drop to 21-15.
