Riverside turned a good effort from starter Lloyd Huggins into a win over the Boise Hawks at Basque Block Field. The final score was 4-2. Huggins got the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. Huggins allowed 1 earned run. The Red Bulls, now 22-10, have been red hot.

With two out in the top of the fourth, Troy Sutton hit a go-ahead run-scoring single. It was his 41st hit of the season and with it the Red Bulls took a 1-0 lead.

Boise manager Arinori Nakamura said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
